The monitor stopped producing 144 hz. What could be the problem?

Hello.
Please tell me what could be the problem.
The monitor suddenly stopped producing 144hz. Gives out 119.

Brand of the monitor Acer ED273 144hz I
connect the monitor to the laptop

Brand of the laptop Asus Rog Strix Hero 3
Video card: rtx 2070
Monitor 144hz I

connect the monitor via hdmi 1.3, 1.4, 2.0
Everywhere gives the same number of hz
Many people write that DisplayPort is needed for 144hz. Well, there is no such port on a laptop. And earlier, with the same connection via hdmi, the monitor gave out 144hz.

Tried to update all kinds of drivers
Changed about 4-5 cables

Resolution 1920x1080

I tried to connect the monitor via hdmi to system units with powerful video cards that support 144hz, well, the monitor still outputs 119 hz

@Drno

Maybe try resetting your monitor to default? through the menu buttons?
Still - can the monitor driver in Windows be updated? then rollback...

Your monitor will not output above 120Hz via hdmi, since the connector version on the HDMI monitor is 1.4, the cable version 2.0 above will not help here. You need a dual-channel dvi cable, but it's pointless to set a resolution higher than 1920x1080, since 2560x1440 will only give a frequency of 75Hz. DisplayPort 1.2 in the monitor, it's quite old, so I'm not ready to answer about the possibility of 144Hz at the monitor's native resolution
