Are we protecting our sight?

It is interesting how colleagues in the workshop protect their eyesight, while spending most of the day at the computer. Do you eat blueberries by the pound? Do you do special exercises? Wear holey glasses? Share your way

To protect vision, you need to find the reason why it is deteriorating. There are several of them in fact:
* Physiological characteristics of the body (people with pancreatitis and diabetes have a physiological predisposition to myopia). There's nothing you can do about it, vision will deteriorate, you need to support it with blueberries, vitamins, and other means
* Drying out of the eyes due to a long absence of blinking. An inflammatory process begins, which takes over the already weak flow of oxygen and nutrients. The nutrition of the eyes comes after the brain, and often, during intensive work, they simply do not have enough oxygen. Toxins are not removed, muscles get additional fatigue, spasms
* Intense brain activity in poorly ventilated rooms. The above are the consequences
* Holding the breath while concentrating. This is an uncontrollable process, but one should try not to allow it
* Staring at something on the screen. This is also a spontaneous process. If you are working with small details, then it is better to use the maximum approximation so that there is no desire to refocus on the little things, because the distance to the monitor will not change, but the eye will idle once again
* Eating restrictions. Lack of vitamins and minerals leads to disastrous consequences.
Correct the causes, not the symptoms.

1. Large LCD monitor with high frequency and contrast.
2. White themes (black characters on a soft light background) during the day.
3. Black themes (light characters on a dark blue background) at night.
4. Periodic breaks (about once every 30 minutes).

At first I used special drops that moisturize my eyes, and then I bought anti-reflective glasses. It is hard to work without them, the eyes get tired much stronger and faster.

I turn down the brightness on all monitors to a comfortable level.
I do exercises 2-3 times a day and on the road (if I go by public transport).
I look out the window without a system.
I enlarge the texts, I hate small beads.
In the evening I work in the overhead light.
Struggling with glare.

Before that, by 16 o’clock I had a headache, but now I don’t (I don’t remember exactly, but I’ve been using it for two months already).
