XMPP corporate messenger?

I am now looking towards xmpp (the server has not yet been selected), because

  • For free
  • On your iron
  • Can communicate with other organizations/domains
  • Have rooms/channels

These are the basic requirements, all sorts of goodies, in the form of voice, video, and so on. not critical. I would like to transfer part of the communications from the mail, because at some point it becomes uncomfortable.
However, I did not find a single adequate client for Windows, something in the spirit of slack / hipchat - they are all multi-window and some kind of "old" chtoli, but I want one big modern application.
In principle, both slack and hipchat are liked, but do not satisfy a number of requirements.
Can you recommend some other direction?
upd: If you dwell on xmpp, then I'm still more interested in the client side, namely the application.

Installed OpenFire with Spark client + integration with LDAP(AD) + Asterisk in several organizations . Difficulties usually do not arise. Minus with a database of more than 300 users, you need a machine more serious than an office typewriter. Java.
