Will Windows server 2008 R2 be on a B360 chipset motherboard with a Coffee Lake processor (i3-8100)?
There is a server on intel Q6600 with 8Gb of RAM and an old SSD on 64Gb + HDD - with Windows server 2008 R2 installed - the question is how (and whether it is possible at all) to transfer (migrate) to newer hardware. In fact, 1C file is spinning there, a maximum of 3 people come in. Plus MeDoc. But it has become really slow lately. And apparently the processor is to blame (often loaded at 100%).
It would be desirable to manage inexpensive (not server) iron. At the same time, there is a desire to put a larger SSD. Type:
Core i3-8100
Gigabyte B360M DS3H
16Gb DDR4
Samsung 970 Evo series 250GB M.2 PCIe 3.0
But I'm not sure whether it will rise (may be transferred) then to this hardware - Windows server 2008 R2. Can it somehow be pushed through the hypervisor. Then which one is better to choose. Or install Server 2019 already (or may it also not support budget (SOHO) systems?
