Will virtual machines work when the hypervisor is downgraded?

There is a server with ESXi 6.5. It is required to transfer virtual machines to a server running ESXi 5.1. Is such a transfer possible? Will virtual machines work? OS vm - different versions of Linux.

A painfully sharp decline. If the machines of version 9 will work, if they are higher, they will not start, the hyper will not understand the virtual hardware. ESXi 6.5 is version 13
