How and where to deploy a VMware training bench?

Good afternoon. Is it possible to deploy a vmware vsphere stand on a home PC for training, or where is the best place to do it?

Deploy better on a separate piece of iron.

To feel the benefits of vmware sphere, you need a cluster, i.e. several physical machines (at least two plus a third-party nas, if you need it cheaper, build based on linux and istgt to distribute images via iscsi).
And it doesn't matter if these are cheap celerons and atoms, the main thing is that virtualization support is a processor and more than 4GB of memory.
The most delicious things from vmware are live migration, high availability, heartbeat, i.e. adult things to increase the level of workflow continuity.
If you need to study just virtual machines, within one, take virtualbox, and if you need to feel the possibilities, take qemu-kvm (actually virtualbox can use it as an option but without tuning), in fact, adult chips are sawed on its basis but for free. ..

You need a PC with virtualization support. Theoretically, nested virtualization can work. But I wouldn't even consider it.

The question is not entirely clear. Do you need training in working with ESXI or training in the capabilities of the sphere? If the first - you can take a free single-server image (but do not put it in the sphere). If the latter, you will need at least two hosts with a paid license, plus a paid license for the sphere itself (well, you understand where you can get it and how to get out :) )
