Will the performance of macbook pro 15 with integrated graphics be enough?
the question of switching from a system unit to a laptop has ripened, due to the peculiarities of the profession, the choice fell on macbook pro retina 15 - ui / ux designer me.
There seems to be no problem, but there is a question: an integrated video card or a discrete one?
Specifically, the model is macbook pro 15 mjlq2 16gb 256ssd core i7 2.2 (turbo boost up to 3.4) year 2015.
Intel Iris Pro Graphics video card (I said that 5200).
My tasks include - work in photoshop, illustrator, layout, photo processing. Layouts are sometimes quite large, my necrop pulls with difficulty, but it is 8 GB of opera and without ssd. Maybe a casserole occasionally. In addition, I would like to connect my desktop dell 24 "to a laptop if I do something at home, that is, work on 2 monitors.
In short, the poppy suits me for all performance characteristics, but I doubt about the video card, is the built-in one enough for such tasks?
To take with a discrete little toad strangles, 400 bucks difference no matter how.

Sometimes I catch a lag when choosing a desktop (this is if the memory is almost full), but generally enough for everything, even for not very demanding games like diablo 3.
Discrete, of course, will not be superfluous, but in the case of the selected laptop, built-in behind the eyes, I had experience with editing video on 3000 graphics (13 Late 11 i5) in general, it was normal, it only took a long time, so take it and you won’t regret it)
I have a model with discrete. It turns on in games, and, oddly enough, with a large number of tabs in safari. In Photoshop and Illustrator, I have never heard that the discrete one turns on (and you can really hear it, you are guided by the sound of the fan - the laptop is taking off). Therefore, I think that the built-in one is enough, including for an external display. If you cut video tightly, then a discrete one will not hurt. If it's static, you can get by.
