Is it possible to bypass the Apple MacBook lock via iCloud by changing the hard drive?

I handed over the MacBook to the service and they threw me. It's been a long time (several months). The device has already been resold to someone (or sold for spare parts).
I just now thought of locking the device (I thought this only applies to iPhones - is that why they didn't call this function "Find Apple"?).
Could an attacker, having resold the device to another person, by cleaning the hard drive, kill the device's connection with my Appledy?

As far as I know, I could. And most likely killed.
True, not only cleaning the hard drive, but cleaning the hard drive + nvram, or just installing a new

For the future, the only way to lock a Mac regardless of the hard drive is to set a firmware password, which, as I know, can also be bypassed, but already a little more difficult.

No, if the MacBook is stolen, then it is blocked by the EFI password, it is in its firmware.
