What is the difficulty of porting applications from mac to linux?

What is the difficulty? Like and that unix. Or a difference in architecture?
I read about darling. But its success is quite limited...

I just thought that one of the disadvantages of Linux is the lack of professional software (from the word profession). And it is much more logical to port it not from Windows, but from the same unix.
And I also wanted to ask (if I make a separate question, I'm afraid it will be perceived as inciting a holivar). What do people mean when they talk about the flexibility of Linux?
If they mean graphic design, then I personally don’t care where to work, and I don’t play much with customization, and therefore I don’t consider the lack of customization in mac os to be a strong minus. Overcrowding with not always necessary functions is a slightly different story.
Here in Linux I have only those programs that I use ... and about 1000 more packages that I don’t know when I managed to install.
IMHO, the only drawback that I see in mac os is the lack of confidence in the security of personal data (she knows a lot). MB she really merges them / can merge them.
As they say:

I have nothing to hide, but it's none of your business.

What do you think about the security issue from both attackers (as hackers) and attackers (as those who should not be named)?

the main difficulty is incompatible/closed system APIs/frameworks/libs.
if the application was not originally written with an eye to cross-platform, then it is often easier to write from scratch than to port.
and do not forget that porting requires source code. which is closed for most professional desktop software.
As far as security is concerned, the main threat to it is the user himself.

at the same time easy and difficult
+ in view of the open architecture in Linux, it is very easy to transfer ports.
+ Linux has all the tools for this, since some of it is supplied from source.
+ Linux and Mac OS are very similar OS because Mac OS is a fork of Unix.
- closed architecture of mac os
- the main virus is the user himself.
