Good day. I know that the motherboard supports ECC memory. But if you install a Pentium Gold G5400 into it, and the memory is with ECC, will it start at all and will such an assembly work correctly?

PS You need to understand that registered RDIMM memory will not work, only non-registered UDIMM.

Intel allows you to install those desktop processors with a server chipset, which have no analogues in Xeon models. The Pentium is one of those. Actually on ark.intel.com it says about ECC support, which means it will work on a motherboard with a server chipset. Moreover, most likely, in it it will only start with ECC memory.
