Why won't my HP Laserjet printer print?

When printing, the sheet of paper comes out of the printer just blank. The printer is 10 years old. Is this due to the fact that the ink has run out or is it already a technical problem?

A printer model would be helpful. But you can do it without it: if you know / can print a test page or a printer report without connecting to a PC (using the button there on the face or holding the power button and plugging in the power cable or something), do it. If the sheet printed in this way comes out with a picture (NOT blank), the problem, in my opinion, is in the drivers in the system. If such a test page is also empty, then there are two options: either the stove is out of order and this is bad and needs repair, or they changed the cartridge and did not pull out the protective film from the drum - and this is simple, just remove the film by referring to the instructions on the cartridge box meaning.

Cartridges 12a have a spring that pulls the two halves of the cartridge together. If you forget to put it after refueling, white sheets come out.
