Why so little RAM?

The bottom line is, maybe I just raised a panic for nothing. The computer has 8 GB of RAM, plus 8 virtual allocated. Based on the statistics of Aida, 86% of physical memory and 89% of virtual memory are occupied. Although only chrome, photoshop and VS Code are open on the PC, they are the most basic memory eaters. Chrome devours 1 GB, the rest are 100 MB each. Nothing like this is fixed anymore, but the memory is pouring out somewhere. Another such thing is that in the task manager in the performance tab only 4 GB is shown.

You have 4 GB of RAM.
It is not enough.
Install CPU-Z or HWiNFO and make sure you see all the ins and outs of the system at the same time.
And chrome eats far from 1GB, it depends on how many tabs are running and extensions are installed. They are all separate processes.
I advise you to buy memory. What a mat. pay?

Well, for starters, I would pay attention to the line "Hardware reserved 4Gb" - because half of your physical memory is immediately a la ul. And 4Gb was not enough even for win7. Windows, by the way, with its system processes, is quite capable of gobbling up a lot of memory, especially if it installs updates, especially if there are a lot in a row.

Starting with Vin7 (possibly with Vista), Windows eats almost all available memory for cache.
But this does not mean that it is not enough, when it will be necessary to share Windows, if there is anything.
What do you reserve 4 GB of hardware for? That's a lot, IMHO.
Read about hardware redundancy here .
General recommendations - update BIOS, play with BIOS settings, update drivers - take the latest ones from the hardware manufacturer's website.
