And have there been any changes in Google regarding these snippets?

Google displays rich snippets when it sees fit. The better the site, the more chances to get out on requests in rich snippets

Reasons for disabling the display of ratings:
1. Spam in microdata. In this case, there should be a message about the measures in the Console.
