Working in the console with Google Contacts in Ruby. How to make an authorization?

Hello. Just for the sake of interest, I want to write a program for working with contacts through the console in Ruby. I'm currently actively learning ruby. But I can't figure out how to authorize the user in the console via oauth? Is it possible?
