Why isn't Google showing my snippet?
The site is quite young, made on wordpress. Yoast Seo plugin installed. Each page and post has a meta description in the metabox.
Question: In Google search results, it shows my page or post, but without my prescribed meta description. The snippet reflects just part of the text.
Please, tell me, maybe something in the site settings needs to be done additionally?

I don’t know what kind of plugin, but usually Google itself chooses either from the description, or from the text of the article, the text of the snippet corresponding to the request.
What to do? You need to experiment with changing the text of the description and the text so that the text you need is displayed in the snippet.
And the module most likely simply registered the text you entered in the description of the article.
The description tag is optional, but recommended for search engines. Search engines pay attention to it in the first place. Nevertheless, the formation of the snippet follows a complex algorithm. In addition, for the same page, but for different requests, the snippet can also be different. This is due to the presence / absence of the key phrase in the description and the request. Most likely, the robot simply did not find the necessary phrase in your description and pulled it out of the context of the page.
