Why is Ubuntu installation crashing?

I put Ubuntu on Virtual Box from under Windows. Everything is fine until it comes to the selection of sections. I select the partitions, click "install" and the installer just closes without any errors. At the same time, Ubuntu continues to work (I set it to boot from the image). What the hell?

It looks like a crash application. Maybe because of the memory. Did you try to install without loading into a full-fledged axis?
Another antivirus can lock. Not Casper by any chance?
