Why is there a D-sub(VGA) to DVI-D(dual link) adapter?
Guys, I can't understand why the adapter from D-sub (VGA) to DVI-D (dual link) was created? He does not work and cannot work! I, believing in miracles, bought such an adapter, thought for a long time, rang, but did not send the meaning of the existence of this adapter. The link posted a photo and the results of dialing HERE
Guys, half a year has passed, he haunts me. Your opinion?
Here, I found only contacts by which it is not possible to contact, if someone catches the email - write:

Here is DVI-I, it has 2 pins on the top left and 2 pins on the bottom left - they transmit the signal to VGA (R, G, B, scan - four pins)
Here is DVI-D, it does not have these pins and transmit nothing to VGA output it can't
But damn it! There is an adapter that has DVI-D on one side, and VGA on the other, and contacts R, G, B, the scan leads "to nowhere".
Question: What is the purpose of producing and selling this?
You can kick with your feet and explain where I'm wrong
. Something I forgot how to use Google ... The task is to find the Rexant manufacturer's website with contacts or a connection with a
support. Photos of packaging will help))
It seems to me that here it smells like a divorce for the sake of money. Either a converter chip is definitely used there, or it is a left product, of which the Chinese can have funny things that contradict the established order.
This question has been on the Internet since 2010. Until now, the best minds have not come to a final decision.

and thirdly - and the adapter, respectively, too. - and who told you that the adapter is DVI-D -> VGA ???? if it looks like that, then it just looks like that. and inside it can be a specific adapter for a specific card
