Why is there a black screen when I turn it on instead of the windows welcome screen?
We have a PC:
Windows 10 Home 2004 x64
ASRock G41C-VS
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9500
8GB DDR3
GT 1030
PSU 450W
When turned on, instead of logging in, a black screen, without cursors and others. Bios and loading windows at the same time goes as it should. At the same time, the system boots up, works, but without displaying on the screen. Reloading the video card driver (Shift + ctrl + win + B) does not help. Clean reinstall too.
If, when you turn it on, go into the BIOS and just click "save and exit" then the PC turns on as it should.
Stress tests and a hollow check of the disk by Victoria do not reveal any errors.
What could be the reason?
UPD1: It turns out that the video card cannot determine what kind of monitor is connected to it (EDID is not transmitted)
It shows up as NOT a PnP monitor in device manager. Hence all these miracles
