Why doesn't Brackets let me update extensions?

Good afternoon.
Can you please tell me why Brackets does not allow you to update installed extensions?
There was a rumor about a JS file, but the full details are missing.
Thank you.
P/S - And I am aware that there are other editors.... and that in Europe the standard of living is higher.
