Why is the SimpleSearch search term not highlighted?

There is no highlighting of the searched word in the search results.
Calling the snippet on the results page:

It does not highlight, but only wraps in a span tag and only in the text that is displayed through the placeholder [[+extract]] . And it is also case sensitive. That is, when searching for the word "test" in the output of the results, the word "Test" will not be highlighted.
