Are there alternatives to ModX in terms of successfully connecting the framework and CMS? So that you can simply pull the desired template on the engine with the admin panel, put the necessary snippets, etc.

Try AVE CMS . The principle of building a site is about the same. There is a nice little thing, like the history of document changes.

durpal, it seems
that any popular framework for which the admin panel was filed is better, if you do it yourself.
and a bunch of extensions and easily expandable

try drupal ... though it's like olives, whoever tasted it likes it, the rest spit. I am from the second, I did not understand the taste.
