Why is the screen not showing when the system boots?
Problem: When the system boots up, the screen does not show.
The backlights are on. The screen is working. The next time you connect an external monitor, everything shows on the monitor, again there is nothing on the matrix of the laptop.
When removing the plastic rim from the laptop screen (cover), the laptop started to boot normally. When putting it back on, after rebooting again a glitch with the screen.
Checked - the power is not short.
Bios updated from the off site to the latest available firmware.
Updated to windows 10. Now, when the laptop is assembled, it does not show the inscription asus at boot, but at the same time it starts the screen when the win10 boot wheel starts spinning
. Nothing is said in the boot error logs or about the kernel.
I disassembled the laptop, but it was a failure - there are bolts in two places on the video, and I have plastic rivets. I was afraid to break. But I saw the cable, examined it.
I think the question is in the built-in and discrete vidyuhi and the principle of their loading. But then why did the lid affect the loading? If you think about the fact that the wire (loop to the matrix) was pinched there, then how to tie it all together?
How to diagnose it?

Your system considers that an external monitor is connected to the laptop and displays information on it during boot. Most likely the matter is in the cable, this confirms that when the screen rim is removed, the problem disappears.
Regarding the download of win10: this is normal, since the "wheel is spinning" on the main monitor specified in Windows, and not on the one that the system considers.
After various tests, the following came to light:
1. I changed the power adapter - that's not the point. Although the previous one was warm.
2. When the video card is loaded (set fallout 4), the ac mode \ battery mode menu starts popping up all the time.
3. I pulled out the battery, considering that it is normal and I worked on it for at least an hour. Nothing has changed.
That's why the laptop manages to start from about 5 times, with the display lid open and holding on to metal parts?
It seems that an electrical impulse is going to the motherboard, which does not allow the vidyukha to start, and when I hold it in a certain place (and it’s not a fact that this is the place), it allows it to start.
