Is it possible to put different sticks of RAM in a laptop?

Laptop ASUS A52J
At the moment, the laptop has 3 gigabytes of RAM (1 + 2), I want to replace the bar with 1 gigabyte by 4, so that it becomes 6 in total, is it possible to do this? And what problems might arise?
They didn’t ban me on Google, I just saw a bunch of opinions, to the point that it’s impossible to add RAM at all)
I’m going to take a similar one in terms of parameters (1333mhz, 9 - 9 - 9 - 24, DDR3)

@solotony

you can put those bars that correspond to your mother.
if it has DDR3, it is necessary to install DDR3, not DDR3L
, there are boards that support both.
frequency and timings don't play much.

@Astrohas

I had a laptop with a 380th treshka. Works with 2gb DDr3 1333Mhz + 4Gb Ddr3l 1600MHz. So the answer is intel-am poyuh on the RAM
