Why is the new RAM not working in a laptop?
Hello! I have a laptop with one 4gb ddr3l RAM module. It works very slowly, I wanted to update and add another module, also on 4gb. The laptop does not turn on if you put two modules at once, or rather it works, but the screen is black, it does not show. If you put one, a new one, then it emits 7 signals. I'm definitely inserting it correctly, they must be compatible (the frequency is the same, the amount of memory, the type of memory). Below I attach a photo of my memory and the new one. Can't I at least update the laptop a bit? Or do I need to look for exactly the same memory, up to the firm?

ddr3 is not compatible with ddr3L
Just
the opposite. I would return it because it's old
And I bought it in another store
You need ddr3L or PC3L
You need to look at the compatibility list (yes, it happens that some RAMs do not work on mothers).
You can try updating the BIOS to the latest release.
