Why is the Linux tag so popular on Toaster?

The first 7 tags by popularity are, of course, web development.
But why is Linux in 8th place? After all, Windows and macOS are much more popular.

Well, since you "understand web development", then remember where all this "web development" is and what operating systems are on the vast majority of servers.

Excuse me, where is more popular? Among gamers and movie lovers? Among designers and artists? Or maybe among the developers? The phrase "A is more popular than B" is meaningless without specifying where it is more popular. For example, cannibalism was popular among certain indigenous tribes of New Zealand ("why did the natives eat Cook"), but this does not mean that cannibalism is popular in New Zealand :)
As for the tag, everything is very simple. Most of the servers (more or less recent statistics were not found) are running Linux and other UNIX operating systems. Something like this...
