Why is the last letter in the server name removed?

Hello! I have such a thing, it’s really very strange))
I add printers to ActiveD, create a printer. Everything is added ok.
I go to the computer, add a new printer there, select from the search what I saw in hell, writes that the path is not correct, I look at the error in more detail and really. in the path for example \\server123\printer the last character
\\server12 \printer is deleted

What would that mean? who cant?

The netbios server name has a character limit.
