Why is the HDD Free Fall Protection program in a laptop with an SSD?

The program is installed by default, there is nothing in it itself, no information about the developer.
The laptop does not have a hard drive at all, it has an SSD.

What kind of program, who knows?

This thing automatically parks the read heads on the hard drive when the laptop is dropped so as not to damage the data. Since you have an SSD, there is no point in it.

Notebook manufacturers have different lines of laptops - often there is only one distro from the factory for the entire line, these are the roots of this phenomenon
