Why is my PC not connecting to the internet?
There is a computer connected via a wired connection from a router and does not connect to the Internet. Wi-Fi is distributed and all devices can access the Internet. Tried to connect directly with a cord, no use. I tried it through the general Internet with a mobile phone, it also does not work (although I used this technique when the network was on fire). The router does not allow you to enter the settings. The drivers are installed, the light on the network card is blinking, the router and the fiber optic terminal look normal.
OS: Windows 10
Router: tp-link (tl-wr741nd)
Connection type: Fiber optic

What does the "computer" icon look like in the lower right corner? a computer with a triangle with an exclamation point or a cross? If it's an exclamation point, set the properties of the network card to "Obtain an IP address automatically". If the cross, the network card is out of order, or the port on the router, or a poor-quality cord.
The router may have a wired connection disabled by default.
In his case, either the port is not functioning or the dhtsp server is turned off. Therefore, there is no need for pings.
Connected directly to no sense: the type of protocol used by the provider (dhcp / static / l2tp, etc.).
If all the settings are correct directly, then the router has nothing to do with it. Deal with the network. Standard update / reinstall firewood.
