Why is Intel better than AMD?

I just can't understand why AMD with much better performance is in fact worse than Intel?
For example:
AMD FX-6300
Clock speed 3500 MHz
Data bus speed 5200 MHz
Number of cores 6
Level 1 cache 3 x 64 KB
L2 cache 6 MB
Intel Core i5-4690K
Clock speed 3500 MHz
Data bus speed 5 GT/s
Number of cores 4
L1 cache size 4 x 32 KB
4 x 32 KB
These models are more or less equal, but in general, AMD has better characteristics and the price is 2.5 times lower. And if you compare it with hardware, then Intel will stuff AMD with a mouthful ... How then to choose a processor if it should be better the one with higher characteristics, but it turns out the other way around ...
Even if you take the most powerful AMD, in fact it is worse than some i5

Because the performance of the processor can no longer be covered only by the clock speed, the number of cores and the cache size. Synthetic tests also do a poor job.
In terms of architecture, Intel processors have much cooler everything, no matter how sad it is. AMD wins so far only due to better solutions in terms of integrated graphics.

This is a good old srach on the topic of what is better Apple or Samsung, PC or Mac, iOS or Android.
Take what you need and at the price that suits you and use it with pleasure despite the stickers and inscriptions.

Today, the frequency and number of cores are not the main indicator. There are many instructions built into Intel processors that provide higher and more stable performance.
The best way to choose the right processor is to:
1. Understand if overclocking is needed? Index "K" for Intel processors means that the multiplier is unlocked;
2. What exactly are you buying for? Games? Choose between i5/i7. The current generation of consoles turned out to be flawed, until the developers reach the level of extracting all resources from the console configuration, more than one year will pass, and even after that it will not deliver hemorrhoids to PC players, due to the fact that now even medium PCs are better in terms of performance than consoles.
3. Before buying, it's not bad to rummage through overclocking sites where they test hardware in different modes.

Who told you that AMD is worse? Intel is a brand, the price for it is many times higher.
They differ only in some technologies (3DNow!, SSE4), due to which they get different speeds in different tasks.

I recently assembled a new computer and came to the conclusion that it is quite possible to choose by price. Processors from Intel and AMD at a similar price have similar performance. Which, in principle, is quite logical.
