How to choose a replacement for the EP7312 microcontroller?

At work, the task was to find a replacement for the EP7312 microprocessor, which is no longer available. A replacement must be chosen with minimal changes in the board and in the program, ideally a complete analogue (I don’t believe in such an option at all, but if it exists, then it will be mana from heaven).
Since now all microcircuits are faster, more powerful, smarter, what should be paid attention to, and what can be neglected? Or maybe there are some special sites on the topic of selecting analogues of microcontrollers? My own search turned up nothing...
