I order a debug board, what else to take?

Hello everyone, I want to order an MSP-EXP430G2 (LaunchPad) and assemble something on it just for a start (blinking LEDs, as they like to write in an article). The parcel will go for a month approximately knowing our mail.
Please advise what else to order for this debug board in order to have something to occupy yourself with for the next couple of months.

What I plan to assemble: A voltmeter (0-20v) based on a 3 segment panel (3 segments and 3 points) on the HC595
(I just already have them)

. - what kind?

I will also be glad for your comments about the board itself, can I take something else?

TI sends FedEx ohm, the package went to me less than a week, and delivered directly to my house.
