Why is google search not working?

Good day! I had this problem: when I type something in the search bar (Opera browser, Google is the default search engine) and press enter, it gives me the Google search start page, my request is ignored and disappears in the search bar. On subsequent attempts, everything works fine, for all queries it immediately gives the result. Attempts to find a solution to this problem on the Internet did not lead to anything (you can scold me if you searched badly :) ), so I'm asking this question here.

But this is not a problem of Google and not a search is described, but an Opera problem - something went wrong somewhere (in the settings?).
What did they do with Opera before?
