Why is emptiness intentionally used in design?

I often hear from designers that there should be voids in the project? What are they for, not just for the sake of aesthetics so that they are not “piled up”, how does this help increase conversion?

I think you are talking about negative space.

If you do not take into account the aesthetics and comfort of the user, and think only about the conversion, then the empty space gives you the opportunity to focus the user's attention on the desired element.

Look at Chinese sites.
They adopted directly opposite concepts - information should fill everything with itself.
Watch and understand why European designers prefer the completely opposite concept.
