Why is canvas eating 8 cores at 100%???

Good afternoon.
The question is general, why can canvas use all 8 cores to the maximum?
OS debian, chrome latest version.
In firefox everything works fine.
The code works simply - a frame is obtained, a small sprite is drawn through drawImage AND ALL!
At the same time, that the sprite is 1, that there are 1000 of them - there is no difference, fps - 60 ..
+ Is it possible to somehow determine whether this behavior is only for me or for others too? Those. how to cover with tests everything related to canvas??
+ I WILL NOTE THE FOLLOWING: when you switch to another deposit, the cores are released, when you return to the tab with the canvas, again 100%! As if besk. cycles start, but they don't!
WHERE to dig? Tell me plz...

Something does not work adequately and there are no even thoughts, why could this be?
Check if you have debian.
