Why is Adobe Illustrator CC 2018 not responding when I close it?

Recently, the latest version of Adobe Illustrator CC 2018 has stopped responding when closing, what could be causing this problem? You have to end the task through the task manager.
Is it just me or is this a common problem?
Reinstalled with plugins and without, the problem remained.
On top of that, it cannot remember the saved workspace and every time it starts, it pleases me with a chaotic set of different panels from installed plugins.
