Why is a window screenshot taken without a shadow in Yosimite?

I take screenshots of windows using the Screenshot (grab) application, in Mavericks a screenshot of the window was taken with a shadow, in Yosimite the shadow was gone.
Googled the command:

defaults write com.apple.screencapture disable-shadow -bool false
killall SystemUIServer

Did not help. How to return the shadow or are there alternative applications that can take a picture of a window with a shadow?

It turned out to be a strange bug, the shadow does not appear if you call the snapshot command from the Grab program menu, but there is a shadow when creating a snapshot using the cmd + shift + 4 + space key combination

or in the screenshot program itself, take a picture of the WINDOW.
