Roman Lee, 2015-09-25 02:30:57

Why, if a video card breaks down, should it be put in the oven?

The question is simple, I can’t understand why when a video card breaks down, many people advise putting it in the oven for 10 minutes? , What for? what happens to her in the oven? , it will not burn there?

There are videos and instructions on the Internet, in which there is a theory that if the crystal was overheated and the video is buggy because of this, a short baking can return the crystals to their original form.
But this should be done carefully, not for long, and no one will give guarantees whether it will work out at home, they hope that it will not get worse. And yes, if the problem is connected precisely with this (that the percentage on the vidyash was previously overheated), then it happens that it is repaired. But other problems cannot be solved so naturally

Mikruhi are soldered on balls (so more compact and in general). From overheating of the mikruhi, the balls can melt and the contact will be lost. If the device is placed in an oven (and they are soldered at the factory, if anything), then the balls will melt again and there is a chance to restore contact.
If you want details, google the word "reballing".

Damn, this should be done when the soldering is bad and has moved away, that is, the tin just melts and is soldered again.
