Why don't two RAM slots work?

Yesterday I upgraded my computer - installed a more productive processor. I bought a good cooler for it, which takes up an impressive amount of space in the system unit.
After installing the processor and cooler, the computer stopped turning on. I disassembled the whole structure and found that 5 socket legs on the motherboard were bent. Armed with a needle, a magnifying glass and a flashlight, I very carefully aligned the legs step by step. But one still remained deformed. It stands exactly, but as if pressed against the base of the socket.
After the next assembly of the processor and cooler, I found that two of the four memory slots stopped working. When you try to turn on the computer with the memory bar installed in these slots, nothing simply loads (black screen), you can’t enter the BIOS, the buzzer does not beep. I tested the memory on another computer - all the bars are working. Is it possible that two memory slots failed because of one damaged leg on the socket?
Can the processor not see all the memory because of this? I plan to insert 2 8 GB sticks into two working slots instead of the current 2 4 GB sticks.

@makis

Maybe.
It may (if it were "lucky with the right" leg) not work at all .
