Athlon 64 3000+ won't be friends with Radeon HD5770?

Hello.
I decided to torment my old man...
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+
I decided to stick a Radeon HD 5770 in there
. I'm launching. The computer works, but the monitor does not feel anything. I put back the Radeon X300 and everything is ok ...
What could be the problem?

Thank you in advance :)

It's the PCIE version. That's for sure. The video card has PCI Express 2.1, and the motherboards of these processors supported either version 1.0 or 2.0.

Bios updated?
I had the same problem on my old computer. Did not work with new video cards. There was no fresh BIOS, so I had to use old video cards.

The power supply is not enough, perhaps.

Or maybe it's a video-monitor connection? If the connection is DVI, then try switching to VGA first. If there was a problem with the video card, then the computer would not start most likely.
