Why doesn't the "Show Section Subsection Items" feature work in components?

Neither in the bitrix:catalog.section component nor in the bitrix:news.list component does the "Show elements of section subsections" function work. There are elements in the subsection, all active, everything seems to work fine, but the elements of the subsections are not shown, although the elements of the section itself are displayed :-(
Maybe you need to tweak something in the info block settings?
