There is a mother 790XT-G45 MSI (the latest BIOS), there is a SATA 3.0 controller with a pcie X1 connector. It starts in the X1 slot, but does not start in the second pcie X16 slot of the two. In general, neither bios nor anything is detected, as if it does not exist.
The pcie specs allow you to run an X1 device in an X16 slot
