Why doesn't the eraser work in Photoshop?

Guys, please help me to solve the problem.
After cutting out the object from the picture and removing the background with the del button, the eraser does not work for me. Rather, it works very strange.

Deselect Ctrl+D. Instead of clicking the Quick Selection Tool on the canvas, press Ctrl+D and you'll be happy.
