Why does Windows 7 not see the hard drive (after installation)?

On one screw is Windows (7 64 sp1). I connect the second one (directly to the motherboard, not via USB). I turn on the computer, while the driver is being searched for, the second disk is visible, you can even copy files. As soon as the search ends (failure), the disk disappears. The ban on installing drivers did not help. Motherboard H97-hd3. WD screw

Disks are probably sata. Check disk modes in BIOS. Perhaps there are several sata controllers on the board and Windows does not have a suitable driver. And what it sees while looking, it works through the BIOS, and when it finds the driver, then directly.
