Why does the wi-fi connection disappear?

Good day!
Faced such a problem
I have an HP Pavilion g6 laptop, OS-Linux Ubuntu 14.04
When downloading files, the connection to the router via wi-fi is lost
Through the cable, everything works stably
Tried to connect over the air to other routers all the same
Thank you in advance

Overheating of the Wi-Fi controller board, try taking another board from someone for a test and see if the problem remains.

Well, let's start by looking at the logs when wi-fi is turned off.

@Nidora

Causes:

  1. Perhaps the Wi-Fi on the laptop disappeared due to a violation of the connection to the DNS server.
  2. Problems with the router, it is easy to check the Internet through another laptop or smartphone.
  3. Perhaps Wi-Fi is disconnected on the laptop due to a defective module.
  4. Or maybe you just have a power saving mode, which is why WiFi on your laptop is constantly turned off in order to save battery.
  5. The drivers on your network adapter are outdated and therefore WiFi periodically disappears.
