Is it even worth putting Linux on a gaming laptop?

I decided to switch to Linux, because. want something new in life, not just use Windows.
There is an asus tuf fx505dt laptop with a Ryzen 5 3550h processor and a GTX 1650 mobile video card.
The fact is that I need Linux not for games, but for developing applications for android (i.e. I use Android studio for development)
First, the problem The fact is that the manufacturer of this laptop leaves drivers for Windows only on its website. Yes, I know that you can install drivers for the video card, but I also need drivers for the processor, which the distribution kit (In my cases: Ubuntu and Fedora) may install itself, but I don’t know if the driver is worth it or not.
I also need to control the rotation speed of the processor and video card coolers, for this I use Ryzen Controller and Armory crate. If Ryzen Controller can be installed on Linux, then Armory Crate is not.
And yet, 120 hertz of a monitor on Linux works strangely for me - these 120 hertz are visible somewhere, and somewhere - 60 it feels like the driver is not installed on the processor. When you move a window, it doesn't move as smoothly.
I liked the performance of Android Studio, it even seems to work faster than on Windows, even the emulator loads faster, or something.
But I could not adjust the noise of the coolers, this is not only one of the problems.

What to do in this case? Stay on Windows with this laptop and buy a stationary and already use it under Linux, or can I somehow fix the problems that I described earlier on the laptop?

Personally, I didn’t really see the need for linux. Well, you can install the second system, but practice shows that the second system remains unclaimed.
"Driver for the processor" - what is it? What devices does it install? (The processor doesn't need a driver :) )
Problems with hardware on laptops are not just a common occurrence, they are absolutely expected - very often manufacturers don't bother with Linux support.
The rest is taste. You will have to look for people who have the same requirements or try to solve the issue yourself (which usually happens)

When I planned to move from Windows to Linux, I first got myself several virtual machines with different distributions. On each distribution, I installed the programs that I need in my work. Only after everything +- worked well, I chose a distribution kit (manjaro linux with KDE) and fully moved to it.
This is IMHO the best option to see the functionality of the functionality and get by with "little blood".

If the device is used for work, then you need to use the OS where this device works well.
Why manage coolers? are they not working properly?
Try Linux Mint...

A gaming laptop is a marketing oxymoron that breaks down against the harsh reality of heat dissipation from a vidyuhi. And with Linux on board - squared.

Install elementary os. Second system. All drivers are present in the system initially!

And why Linux, for the sake of Linux? Especially if problems with pieces of iron and drivers are supposed. I don’t understand if everything works under Windows, there is the same android studio, what kind of magical craving for another OS?

Install a virtual machine, in the case of 10ki it is hyper v built into the OS, install ubuntu in it, selecting the desired template from the wizard, Windows will load and configure everything by itself.
By the way, development for mobile phones is great in windows.

you will not learn Linux if you put it on the second OS, believe my experience, it doesn’t work that way.
Only the main OS
And the main OS Linux is clearly not suitable for games.
Now, as for me, "doesn't work" "needs to be reinstalled, etc."
Get used to how any constructor works, there are no ready-made solutions in them.
If you need to control fans "man in hand and in front"
First of all, you need to relearn the philosophy of Linux and that's it. Then, later on, you will not notice such inconveniences
as "something needs to be constantly finished with a file"

two options except multiboot.
plug in a live ubuntu flash drive, make sure it works, there are no problems with the necessary firewood.
2. install Vbox or vmware and work in linux through them.
plus vmware - more advanced graphics support.

open suse leap15.2 on an old, quad-core Azus + win7 on a more powerful one.
They replace each other a lot. I find it very convenient. Gentleman's set)
Everything will open with them. Wine runs faster on Linux than on wine7
