Is it possible to flash a TP-Link tl-wr-842v2 router on OpenWRT

Is it possible to flash a TP-Link TLWR-842 router with revision 2 on OpenWRT or DD-WRT?
Revisions 1 and 2 differ in that the first has an Atheros AR7241 chip, and the second has an AR9341.

Yes, it's possible. Everything was installed correctly for me and it worked with this image: downloads.openwrt.org/barrier_breaker/14.07/ar71xx...
Good luck!

I bring to your attention a new firmware based on the newest OpenWRT 15.05 Chaos Calmer kernel for the TL-WR842ND(RU) v2 router.
Prepared to work with 3G modems.
All modems that I used work without failures and breaks. I collected from the source for myself, tested and configured myself.
Firmware version OpenWrt Chaos Calmer 15.05
The most recent revision The
firmware works perfectly.
The firmware supports connecting USB drives with file systems:
EXT2, EXT3, EXT4, VFAT, NTFS, DOS
The firmware was built with compiler flags for TL-WR842ND v2. When flashing to the first revision, you will get a corpse.
factory - for switching from official firmware to OpenWRT
sysupgrade - for updating already installed firmware OpenWRT
Backup is a fully configured router for receiving Internet from a 3G modem (there is no wired Internet, but most likely it should work), DHCP server is enabled, Access Point WiFi.
backuprestore after flashing in System - Backup / Restore in the Restore backup section.
You can see the access point name, password, as well as the login and password for the admin panel by clicking on the download link at the end of the message.
