Why does the microphone in the combo jack not work in win8?

We have:
Mac Mini,
Combo jack
Headset from a Phillips phone
Windows 8 installed via BootCamp
Actually, I connect it to MacOS - everything works fine, I reboot into Windows - only headphones work

If there is a previous driver model for your device... try to rollback... further to the oldest version..until it works... if it doesn't help, you need to smoke forums on the topic and / or detailed information about the device here.
