Why does the HP DL380p Gen8 disable the built-in raid controller?

Hello!
There is an HP DL380p Gen8 server with a built-in RAID p420i on board. When loading, the server turns it off, showing error 226 embedded storage controller. Several times I rolled up firmware updates, reset the BIOS, took out the battery. Nothing helped. Where to dig? What to watch?

As far as I remember, HP error 226 is a power fault , a fairly general error that can be rooted in various subsystems.
But the first thing to try is, if the controller is removable, turn off the server, disconnect the controller battery, remove the controller itself, wipe its contacts and put everything back in reverse order.
If that doesn't help, it's worth digging into the fuses as well, but I'd already talk to HP support at this point.
