Why does the download run out of RAM?

Hello everyone, after reinstalling Windows 8.1, I ran into a problem that I can’t solve in any way, it is that when I download large files from the network, I run out of RAM.
I used to think that this was due to the uTorrent program, because. if I started downloading a file > 7GB, I ran out of memory and had to restart my computer, the other day I tried to download a file = 8GB through the browser, the problem repeated itself, I changed uTorrent to mediaGet and this did not solve the problem, all the time it was as if the files were being downloaded to RAM, I can't think of any other explanation.
The computer has 8GB of DDR3 RAM, Core i5, windows 8.1. There is a lot of space on the HDD, 1 - 60GB, 2 - 500 GB.
Ps Well, here again, I'm downloading a file> 7GB, while I wrote the text of the question and the memory ran out.

In general, thanks to everyone for the answers, the problem turned out to be not only in Windows 8, but in the VPN connection with the Stonesoft IPsec VPN Client, after removal everything worked as it should

@Radykh

as if the files are being downloaded into RAM

Everything is correct. This is called "Disk Cache".

The above is absolutely correct. But return uTorrent, set up the cache. Yes, and in the era of win7 / 8, RAM managers have not gone anywhere :)
