Why does the browser connect to localhost?

Why is it connecting to localhost?
UPD noticed that IExplorer does not suffer from such garbage
UPD2 I remembered that there are no extensions on IE I
determined the culprit by the screening method - the IDM extension (internet download manager) for browsers

Comparing with IE, I came to the conclusion that perhaps the problem lies in some kind of extension

Answering the question: the browser did not contact the local
host - I don't care anymore

One of the cases is if the HOSTS file contains a line like:
127.0.0.1 xxxx.com
